9-hole private club with minimal resources. ‘Best Greens Ever’ award after reviving their Greens and Fairways into good, playable condition. Expansion to 18 holes was considered, including possible layouts and regulatory steps with the DNR and IDEM. $150k Operating Budget.
 
  CHERRY HILL GOLF CLUB Fort Wayne, Indiana 1995-1996
Assistant Construction, Grow-In Superintendent
One of the first sites for A-4 bentgrass Greens in the state, just prior to Hillcrest. Worked in all facets of construction from project planning, layout of corridors, retail lots, storm water, irrigation installation, and grow-in. Vast dozer shaping and other heavy equipment experience. Personally built all back-side USGA Greens. $2M Construction Budget.
 
  LOCHMOOR CLUB Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 1994
Assistant Superintendent
Employee management and daily maintenance operations. Pesticide Certification in Turf, Ornamentals, Aquatics, and Roadsides. Responsible for all chemical and fertilizer applications. Assisted in mechanical repair and upkeep of various turf equipment. $750k Operating Budget, $1.2million Bunker Renovation.
 
  FRANKLIN HILLS COUNTRY CLUB Franklin, Michigan 1993
Intern / World Cup Indoor Turf Team
Playing conditions on this historic Donald Ross design were average for the time. Horticulture and Audubon habitats were a primary focus outside of the normal Course maintenance. Superintendent Tom Gray was closely affiliated with Michigan State and the 1994 World Cup. I contributed part-time to the MSU ‘Indoor-Turf’ field research team, and returned to assist with assembly of the Silver Dome field-modules in ’94 after I had moved on to the Lochmoor Club. $500k Operating Budget.
